Where we live.........

This is our house in Galicia it is in Rabade Lugo. It was the house of the driver of Franco the dictator and several of his moroccan bodyguards.

            When we bought it sevenyears ago it was a complete ruin and a renovation project as you can see. It had been empty for almost 50 years. Many properties in rural Galicia are in a similar state, in need a good dose of tender loving care

            It took twenty months but we did all the work on the house ourselves, so we know exactly how much work goes into a restoration project, how much it costs, how long it takes and how to do it.
