House 5 km from the town center of Palas de Rei and 2 km from the Lugo-Ourense motorway, in the village of Santa Mariña. Palas de Rei is located on the French Camino de Santiago. Located in the region of Ulloa, the Galician region of the ancient “castro” culture, it still preserves many archaeological remains (maimas, dolmens and castros) witnessing a remote settlement. Palas de Rei has an extensive artistic heritage that reflects the noble past of these lands. It preserves remains of fortresses, towers, castles, as well as several mansions and emblazoned houses.
It is a big stone house, with a total area of approximately 600 m2, with two floors of 300 m2, stone barn and granary (the first of 120 m2 and access through two small doors and large doorway, and the second Of 60 m2). The interior of the house needs serious renovations. On the property are some large chestnut trees.
The house, the barn and the haystack are located inside an estate of approximately 2.000 m2 (including buildings). The whole perimeter of the property is closed with a thick stone wall of 1.80 m high, which gives security and privacy to this house.
