Lucus Augusti, which means “the grove of Augustus”, this is the name that the ancient Romans gave to the city of Lugo. A city that is proud of its past, of its culture and its history. Every year just before summer comes it is transformed into a city of the Roman Empire. With its camps, its markets, parades, circus spectacles of all sorts.
ARDE LUCUS lasts for a few days only but it is well worthwhile looking back twenty centuries into the past and to integrate oneself into the multitude of more than a million people who come to transform and enjoy day and night the atmosphere of another time, of another world.
Come and join us!
