Samos appears in most of the guides on the Camino de Santiago Francés, as the stage number 27. There is this splendid building, former quarter-house until 2007, with 900 m2 built on three floors. On the street floor, were the common units of any building of this type: large spaces easily to be transformed. In the two upper floors we can still see the distribution in 4 family apartments of large dimensions, with its four bedrooms each, 4 kitchens and bathrooms.

The Monastery of San Julián de Samos, founded in the 6th century, belongs to the order of the Benedictines. It has a multitude of qualifications that increase its interest to be visited and its category within the Spanish monuments: Cultural Interest, RI-51-0001164; National Monument, 29-09-1944, World Heritage Site (associated element of “Roads of Santiago de Compostela: French Way and Northern Spanish Roads, No. 669bis) since 2015.
