Ponte Caldelas is located 14 km from Pontevedra and 33 km from Vigo, two large cities. Its name dates back to the times of the Romans: it is a combination of ponte (bridge in latin) to cross the river Verdugo that crosses the town and caldas (thermal springs, hot springs) that existed in the area, Caldelas. There is this large manor house of about 402 m2 built on two floors: housing plus cellar, basement, patio and vine, and storage room above; with a small delicious garden. The location of the house is unbeatable, in the center of the village, but in the rest area, just in the middle of recreational and sports areas: with paddle and tennis courts, sports center, soccer field, gym …. Externally the house is in perfect condition, stone of good thickness and quality; but inwardly it needs some renovations to be adapted to its new uses. The house has a unique, peculiar distribution at the moment but the new owners could easily adapt it – given the space available – to their tastes and needs.
It can be converted into a small charming hotel or a large house to live in the center of Ponte Caldelas. Many possibilities for a high value property whit a very good base to start.
One of the last attractions of Ponte Caldelas is its famous “A Calzada” river beach on the Verdugo River (50 meters from the house), the first in Spain to display a Blue Flag, located one kilometer from this property. The award of this badge requires compliance with water quality, safety, general service provision and environmental management. Spain is the first country in the world with Blue Flag beaches, with 579 in total (05.2017) and Galicia the second Autonomous Community of Spain in blue flags, behind only the Valencian Community.
