Alfoz, 2 km from Mondoñedo and 15 minutes from the Las Catedrales beach. The origin of this property

Everything began around the year 1600 when the stone walls that still subsist were built. In these more than 400 years, this place has had different uses. This farmhouse that we see today, between about 1900 and the year 2000, was a soft drink factory. The product that was made here was famous and was sold everywhere. The secret: the quality of the raw material, water. Inside the property there were – and they are still working there – three springs that supplied enough to make the soda. Today, only one of the springs is at full capacity and the other two need a simple cleaning to get to the same level. It does not work as such, but the buildings that made up the factory floor still remain and are in good condition.


The buildings of the old factory

All the buildings are made of stone. Most are in perfect condition and could easily be converted into apartments or dormitories. Others, a couple, require reforms basically on the roof. In total, it can be calculated that some 12 bedrooms of between 12 and 15 m2 each could be fitted out in these warehouses.

An industrial building, former bottling plant, of 200 m2, plus the covered loading space of 60 m2. Another additional building of 30 m2. Another plant of similar functions with the perfect stone walls but that needs reform on the roof, with 360 m2. Other building similarly in need of reform on the roof, with 100 m2 surface. The old carpentry, of 40 m2. Furthermore, there are other buildings that did not enter the manufacturing process, like a nice covered pen for turkeys and chickens of 30 m2.


The great colonial house

The old colonial-style stone house, magnificently restored, 350m₂ on two floors. It consists of a kitchen, two dining rooms, living room with fireplace, 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms of which one needs renovation. And a 30m2 gallery with wonderful views of the Sierra do Xistral and the Masma River.
