Begonte is a council in the province of Lugo. In it is the village of Santa María de Trobo and this extraordinary property. We are in the centre of the region called A Terra Chá (The Flat Land). And that name defines very well the characteristics of this area, in the heart of Galicia. It is a great plain covered with green meadows, numerous rivers and many lagoons. This region is largely a Biosphere Reserve. And in addition, the Camino de Santiago del Norte runs through the municipality of Begonte, which means a very important flow of pilgrims throughout the year.
Begonte is 23 km from the capital of the province. And 15 km from Vilalba, the most populated municipality in the region. A Coruña, with its international airport, can be reached in approximately 40 minutes.
It is a beautiful stone house of about 200 m2, spread over two floors of 100 m2 each. The main materials used in this house are granite, wood and slate. The structure and exterior of the house are in good condition. But the interior requires a complete restoration. It has electricity, water from the public network and a private well. There is good mobile phone coverage. As for the current distribution, there are two bedrooms, a small living room and a kitchen-dining room. It also has a bathroom.
A large meadow of 44,000 m2, surrounded by oak trees. In Galicia, it is difficult to find farms of these dimensions on a single plot: this is exceptional. Inside the property, and around the house, there are four haystacks of different sizes. One of them is used as a garage regularly.
