Silleda, Pontevedra, has a motto: “A stop on the Way”, and pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela on the so-called Vía de la Plata know it well. Only two kilometres from Silleda you can find this magnificent and complete property. Its surroundings, with excellent views, the tranquillity of the place and its enclave make Silleda an excellent place to live or to start a tourist business, related to the Camino. Or not. It is forty kilometres from Santiago de Compostela. The international airport of Vigo is 89 kilometres away.
It is a large stone house, 130 years old, but preserved in perfect condition until today. The exterior of this house in Silleda is characterized by its large porches and the balcony that runs along several sides of the building. Stone, wood and tiles are its main materials. Its surface area is more than 400 m2. The structure is that of a typical Galician farmhouse from the end of the 19th century. The ground floor was dedicated to stables and the upper floor to housing. Today, the ground floor houses a wine cellar, a space for a workshop and another space for the house’s service facilities: heating boiler, diesel tank, etc. On the upper floor, there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living-dining room with a fireplace. Ceilings and floors are made of wood in all the house, except in the kitchen that is made of stoneware and tiles in the bathrooms. The house has water from the public network and from a well. And telephone. It is perfect to live in at any time and it is sold furnished except some personal items.
The land plot has a surface area of 1,390 m2 and is completely enclosed by a high stone wall. Absolute privacy. It has several external buildings. A beautifully preserved hórreo (the typical Galician granary). There is a large stone shed with extraordinary wooden beams, where you can find a traditional ox cart and an apple press.
