O Grandal belongs to the City Council of Ourol, Lugo. This property of O Grandal is 16 km from the Ria de Viveiro in the Mariña Lucense. Not far from the property, is the natural monument known as the forest of the giants. With eucalyptus brought to Europe in 1880. Some with a height of 67 m and more than 10 meters in diameter: one of the highest in the continent. It is a land full of magical nature.
The house has an approximate area of 228 m2 built, on two floors plus attic. It has a land of approximately 500 m2 adding several plots.
This stone house of O Grandal is square/rectangular. Annexe to it has a shed and a cement block warehouse. Surrounding the house there is a land, like a garden or a meadow, about four meters wide.
Low level. Upon access, on the left, is the kitchen that has a stone oven and wood stove. On the right there is a space that would once be stable, today it could become a dining room. From this, you access a bathroom.
Top floor. We climbed some wooden chestnut stairs. On the right, we have a bedroom. Following, on the left, a corridor leads to two bedrooms on the right and another on the left. At the bottom of the hall is the wooden balcony of the main facade. You can also go out through one of the bedrooms.
Attic. Again, chestnut wood stairs lead us to a low-rise attic.
The ceilings and floors of the house are made of wood.
In the village, very close to the house, there is a fountain, former laundry, commonly used for all neighbours.
