Wonderful property in a strategic place for the pilgrims of the Northern Saint James Way. It is located right in the place where the pilgrims pass through, surrounding the whole property on their way to Saint James.
These are two houses joined together, one of them is already the hostel itself and the other is still in ruins, with the roof in good condition and only having to be restored inside. The two houses that add up to about 900 m2 are located on a property of almost 1 ha (9,800m2), of which 1,000 m2 are buildable. They are bordering the road and, if necessary, would allow 3 heights to be built.
The hostel has 3 floors. On the ground floor we have a reception, washing room, dining room, kitchen, exit to the outside of the garden and access to the “night entrance” for those who wish. There is also a double room with a bathroom.
The first and second floors are where the bunk beds are distributed. They are shared rooms, in which there are a total of 50 bunk beds distributed on two floors. In the corridors, bathrooms with a common shower on both floors. Outside we have a separate suite-apartment with kitchen-dining room, and a double room with bathroom.
The average rating on booking.com is 8.6
The house that is still not reformed is similar in size to the one transformed into a hostel, and the current owner was thinking of building 8-9 single rooms in it because they are the first ones that are always rented.
The terrain is wonderful and gives a lot of play to visitors, because it reflects the typical of Galicia, with its trees, its slopes, which even invite to barbecue in one of its corners with magnificent views of the nearby chapel.
Pilgrims and visitors can enjoy this unique spot of animals in the wild, even collecting fresh eggs from the hens that live in a privileged henhouse, or watching them share space with the animals they might find in the forest, if they so wish.
The average rating of this hostel on the Saint James Way at booking.com is 8.6.
