The cattle farm is very interesting, it is cheap: a difficult price to resist, apart from the farm whose farmhouse needs restauration the cattle buildings are in a good conditions and the farm has 3.7 Hª (over 9 acres).
It had in the past a cheese producing installation which could be set up again.
All 8 plots of land are joined together around the buildings as one. In Galicia this is difficult to get as many farms are set up from a myriad of very small plots.
Abegondo is in an area with a very special microclimate because of its altitude 100 meters above sea level and its proximity to the coast.
By using poly-tunnels one could produce fresh vegetables all year round.
Another advantage that this farm has is the closeness to the English Route for pilgrims…. A route whose users grow considerably every year
The Jacobean routes are one of the principle tourist attractions of Galicia with over 300.000 pilgrims coming each year.
In this farm one could set up an ecological farm to receive and teach youngsters (and others not so young) or an ecological pilgrim hostel producing all the food or many other possibilities.
