Description

This wonderful Pazo is located in the heart of the Deza lands, in the parish of Santiso (Lalin). It is called Pazo de Velón.

It is a mixture of Galician architecture on the facades but inside it shows Andalusian influences where light is very important.

In the courtyard with its huge glazed skylight these Andalusian influences are evident with all the rooms around the courtyard.

The main floor is paved with typical Galician chantos (large pieces of slate) and the balcony on the upper floor is supported by large granite columns carved in the style that was common in the 17th Century.

On this floor we find the staircase that goes up to the upper balcony that surrounds the entire upper floor and works as a vestibule and distributor to the 16 rooms that the Pazo has.

The house is organised around this courtyard to which the glazed skylight gives a wonderful light and life to the whole Pazo.
